Frequently asked questions
General information to help you understand the available services and the next step. Personal recommendations require an appointment.
Can I contact the clinic directly about my dentures?
Yes. Call the clinic on 07 3886 0237 or send an enquiry. The team can discuss the most suitable type of appointment for your situation.
Do you repair dentures on the same day?
North Lakes Denture Care offers same-day service for many denture repairs through its on-site laboratory. Call before visiting so the team can understand the repair and arrange a time.
What if it is difficult for me to visit the clinic?
A full in-home service is available by appointment for people who find it difficult to attend the North Lakes clinic. Contact the team to discuss availability and your needs.
What types of dentures are available?
The clinic provides complete, partial, immediate, cosmetic and implant retained dentures. Partial denture options include acrylic, metal-based and flexible materials.
My denture feels loose or uncomfortable. What should I do?
Contact the clinic for an assessment rather than trying to adjust the denture yourself. Relines, maintenance or another form of care may be discussed after the denture and fit are assessed.
How do I keep my denture clean?
Clean your denture daily with a soft brush and a non-abrasive cleaner suitable for its material, then rinse thoroughly. Handle it over a folded towel or a basin of water in case you drop it. Avoid hot water and abrasive toothpaste. Follow the cleaner’s instructions and ask the clinic which products are suitable, particularly if your denture has metal components, flexible materials or a soft lining.
How should my denture be stored when I’m not wearing it?
Keep your clean denture in a protective denture container. Usually, dentures are removed at night unless your clinician advises otherwise, such as just after extractions. Whether yours should be stored dry, in water or in a suitable solution depends on its material and your clinician’s instructions. Ask the clinic for advice for your particular denture, follow any product instructions and rinse it before putting it back in.
How do I arrange an appointment?
Call 07 3886 0237 or use the enquiry form and the clinic can help with the next step.
